GNA15

Description

The GNA15 (G protein subunit alpha 15) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

GNA15 is a gene that encodes the protein guanine nucleotide-binding protein subunit alpha-15 (G15α). G15α is a part of the Gq alpha subunit family and functions as a component of a heterotrimeric G protein in cell signal transduction. It was previously known as G16α.

GNA15, encoding G15α, plays a crucial role in cell signaling by acting as a transducer in various transmembrane signaling systems.

GNA15 is also known as GNA16, HG1L.
