GMNC

Description

The GMNC (geminin coiled-coil domain containing) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

GMNC plays a crucial role in regulating DNA replication. It promotes the start of chromosomal DNA replication by facilitating the binding of CDC45L, a key protein involved in this process, to replication origins. This interaction is made possible through GMNC's ability to connect with two other important proteins, TOPBP1 and CDK2.

GMNC is also known as GEMC1.
