GMEB2

Description

The GMEB2 (glucocorticoid modulatory element binding protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

Glucocorticoid modulatory element-binding protein 2 (GMEB2) is a protein encoded by the GMEB2 gene in humans. It belongs to the KDWK gene family. GMEB2 associates with GMEB1, forming a complex essential for parvovirus DNA replication. Studies on the rat homolog suggest its involvement in modulating transactivation by the glucocorticoid receptor bound to glucocorticoid response elements. The gene utilizes multiple polyadenylation sites.

GMEB2 is also known as GMEB-2, P79PIF, PIF79.
