ZRANB2

Description

The ZRANB2 (zinc finger RANBP2-type containing 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

ZRANB2 is a human gene that encodes Zinc finger Ran-binding domain-containing protein 2. This protein interacts with U2 small nuclear RNA auxiliary factor 1 (U2AF1) and SNRP70.

ZRANB2 acts as a splice factor, specifically involved in the alternative splicing of TRA2B/SFRS10 transcripts. It can also interfere with the selection of constitutive 5‘-splice sites.

ZRANB2 is also known as ZIS, ZIS1, ZIS2, ZNF265.
