ZNF396

Description

The ZNF396 (zinc finger protein 396) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 18.

Isoforms 1 and 2 of ZNF396 act as DNA-dependent transcriptional repressors, meaning they can regulate the expression of other genes by binding to their DNA and inhibiting their transcription.

ZNF396 is also known as ZSCAN14.
