Description

The ZNF354B (zinc finger protein 354B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

ZNF354B acts as a transcriptional repressor, binding to DNA when activated by RAS signaling. This binding triggers a chain reaction: ZNF354B recruits other DNA-binding proteins, multi-protein complexes, and chromatin modifiers, eventually leading to the establishment of a site where DNMT1 can be recruited.

ZNF354B is also known as KID2.
