ZNF160

Description

The ZNF160 (zinc finger protein 160) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

Zinc finger protein 160 is a protein produced from the ZNF160 gene in humans. It belongs to the Krüppel-related zinc finger proteins, featuring a KRAB (Kruppel-associated box) domain at its N-terminal end. This KRAB domain is a powerful suppressor of gene transcription, indicating a potential role for this protein in regulating gene expression. Two alternative transcripts have been documented, both generating the same protein isoform.

ZNF160 is also known as F11, HKr18, HZF5, KR18.
