ZNF10

Description

The ZNF10 (zinc finger protein 10) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

Zinc finger protein 10 is a protein in humans encoded by the ZNF10 gene. It contains a C2H2 zinc finger and acts as a transcriptional repressor. Its KRAB domain is responsible for this repression activity. TRIM28, a RING finger containing protein, interacts with the KRAB domain and may mediate the repressor function. ZNF10 has also been shown to interact with TRIM28.

This gene may play a role in regulating gene expression.

ZNF10 is also known as KOX1.
