ZKSCAN5

Description

The ZKSCAN5 (zinc finger with KRAB and SCAN domains 5) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

ZKSCAN5 is a protein in humans encoded by the ZKSCAN5 gene. It contains a SCAN box and a KRAB A domain. A similar protein in mice shows different expression levels during sperm production. Two slightly different versions of the gene exist, differing only in the beginning part (5‘ UTR). Additional variations have been found, but their complete sequences are unknown.

ZKSCAN5 is also known as ZFP-95, ZFP95, ZNF914, ZSCAN37.
