Description

The YLPM1 (YLP motif containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

YLPM1 gene encodes for YLP motif-containing protein 1, a protein found in humans.

YLPM1 protein contributes to the decrease in telomerase activity during embryonic stem cell differentiation. It achieves this by directly interacting with the core promoter region of the TERT gene, leading to its downregulation.

YLPM1 is also known as C14orf170, PPP1R169, ZAP113, ZAP3.
