YBX3
Description
The YBX3 (Y-box binding protein 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.
YBX3 binds to the GM-CSF promoter, suggesting a role in repressing gene expression. It also interacts with mRNA, specifically with full-length mRNA and short sequences containing the motif 5'-UCCAUCA-3'. This interaction might be involved in translation repression.
YBX3 is also known as CSDA, CSDA1, DBPA, ZONAB.
