XXYLT1

Description

The XXYLT1 (xyloside xylosyltransferase 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

XXYLT1, also known as alpha-1,3-xylosyltransferase, elongates the O-linked xylose-glucose disaccharide attached to EGF-like repeats in the extracellular domain of target proteins by adding a second xylose. This enzyme targets Notch proteins and coagulation factors, such as F9.

XXYLT1 is also known as C3orf21.
