XAB2

Description

The XAB2 (XPA binding protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

The XAB2 gene encodes the pre-mRNA-splicing factor SYF1 protein in humans.

XAB2 is involved in pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the spliceosome. It is also involved in transcription-coupled repair (TCR), transcription, and pre-mRNA splicing.

XAB2 is also known as HCNP, HCRN, NTC90, SYF1.
