WSB2

Description

The WSB2 (WD repeat and SOCS box containing 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

WSB2 acts as a substrate-recognition component within a specific type of E3 ubiquitin ligase complex called SCF-like ECS. This complex marks target proteins for degradation by attaching ubiquitin molecules, leading to their eventual breakdown by the proteasome.

WSB2 is also known as SBA2.
