WDR74

Description

The WDR74 (WD repeat domain 74) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

WDR74 is a regulatory protein of the MTREX-exosome complex, essential for the synthesis of the 60S ribosomal subunit. It participates in the early cleavage of the pre-rRNA processing pathway in cooperation with NVL. WDR74 is also crucial for blastocyst formation and plays a role in RNA transcription, processing, and/or stability during preimplantation development.

WDR74 is also known as Nsa1.
