VTI1B
Description
The VTI1B (vesicle transport through interaction with t-SNAREs 1B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.
Vesicle transport through interaction with t-SNAREs homolog 1B is a protein that in humans is encoded by the VTI1B gene.
== Interactions == VTI1B has been shown to interact with STX8.
VTI1B acts as a V-SNARE protein, facilitating vesicle transport by interacting with t-SNAREs on target membranes. This interaction is believed to contribute to the specificity of vesicle trafficking and to promote the fusion of lipid bilayers. Additionally, VTI1B may play a role in the increased secretion of cytokines associated with cellular senescence.
VTI1B is also known as VTI1, VTI1-LIKE, VTI1L, VTI2, v-SNARE, vti1-rp1.
