VOPP1

Description

The VOPP1 (VOPP1 WW domain binding protein) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

VOPP1 enhances the transcriptional activity of NFKB1 by promoting its nuclear translocation, DNA-binding, and subsequent apoptotic response when overexpressed. VOPP1 may also sequester WWOX in lysosomal vesicles, thus regulating WWOX's function as a tumor suppressor.

VOPP1 is also known as ECOP, GASP, WBP1L2.
