UCMA
Description
The UCMA (upper zone of growth plate and cartilage matrix associated) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.
UCMA may play a role in suppressing the development of bone cells (osteoblasts) from cartilage precursor cells in the outer regions of fetal cartilage and where cartilage meets bone.
UCMA is also known as C10orf49, GRP, GRP/UCMA.
