TSNAX

Description

The TSNAX (translin associated factor X) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

TSNAX, or Translin-associated protein X, is a protein encoded by the TSNAX gene in humans. It specifically interacts with translin, a DNA-binding protein that binds to specific sequences at chromosomal translocation breakpoints. TSNAX contains nuclear targeting sequences that may help transport translin into the nucleus, as translin itself lacks these motifs. Together, TSNAX and translin form the C3PO complex, which helps cleave the passenger strand during microRNA loading into the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC).

TSNAX is also known as C3PO, TRAX.
