TSHZ1

Description

The TSHZ1 (teashirt zinc finger homeobox 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 18.

The TSHZ1 gene encodes a protein that may be involved in transcriptional regulation of developmental processes. It is a member of the teashirt C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family and is also known as a colon cancer antigen. Mutations in this gene may be associated with congenital aural atresia syndrome. Research in mice and other organisms suggests that TSHZ1 is conserved across species and plays a crucial role in development. While the exact functions of TSHZ1 are still under investigation, its role in transcriptional regulation and potential association with developmental disorders makes it a significant gene for further study.

TSHZ1 is also known as CAA, NY-CO-33, SDCCAG33, TSH1.
