Description

The TRAK2 (trafficking kinesin protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

Trafficking kinesin-binding protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TRAK2 gene. TRAK2 has been shown to interact with Kir2.1 and GABRB2.

May regulate the transport of membrane cargo, including the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), from endosomes to lysosomes.

TRAK2 is also known as ALS2CR3, CALS-C, GRIF-1, GRIF1, MILT2, OIP98.
