Description

The TPPP3 (tubulin polymerization promoting protein family member 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

TPPP3 is a regulator of microtubule dynamics that bundles microtubules (PubMed:17105200, PubMed:19633818). It is required for embryo implantation, potentially through regulation of beta-catenin (By similarity). TPPP3 is also essential for decidualization, a process that is also regulated by beta-catenin (PubMed:30667362).

TPPP3 is also known as CGI-38, TPPP/p20, p20, p25gamma.
