TMEM198

Description

The TMEM198 (transmembrane protein 198) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

TMEM198 promotes the phosphorylation of LRP6 by casein kinases, which is crucial for Wnt signaling. It acts as a membrane scaffold protein, facilitating the self-aggregation of LRP6 and amplifying its activity.

TMEM198 is also known as TMEM198A.
