TMEM170B

Description

The TMEM170B (transmembrane protein 170B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

TMEM170B negatively regulates the canonical Wnt signaling pathway in breast cancer cells. It inhibits the stabilization and nuclear translocation of CTNNB1, a key component of the Wnt pathway, thereby reducing the activity of Wnt target genes. This ultimately leads to an inhibitory effect on breast cancer growth.

TMEM170B is also known as -.
