The TMEM115 (transmembrane protein 115) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.
TMEM115, also known as Placental protein 6 or Protein PL6, likely participates in the retrograde movement of proteins from the Golgi apparatus back to the endoplasmic reticulum. It may also indirectly influence protein glycosylation within the Golgi.
