TLE2

Description

The TLE2 (TLE family member 2, transcriptional corepressor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

Transducin-like enhancer protein 2 is a protein encoded by the TLE2 gene in humans. TLE2 has been shown to interact with TLE1 and HES1.

TLE2 acts as a transcriptional corepressor, binding to various transcription factors and inhibiting the activation of transcription mediated by CTNNB1 and TCF family members, particularly within the Wnt signaling pathway. The activity of full-length TLE family members can be regulated by interactions with dominant-negative AES.

TLE2 is also known as ESG, ESG2, GRG2.
