TINAG

Description

The TINAG (tubulointerstitial nephritis antigen) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

The TINAG gene in humans encodes for a protein called Tubulointerstitial nephritis antigen.

TINAG mediates adhesion of proximal tubule epithelial cells through interactions with integrins alpha3-beta1 and alphaV-beta3. It is a non-catalytic peptidase belonging to the C1 family.

TINAG is also known as TIN-AG.
