TICRR
Description
The TICRR (TOPBP1 interacting checkpoint and replication regulator) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.
TICRR plays a crucial role in regulating DNA replication and ensuring proper cell cycle progression. It participates in the initiation of DNA replication by interacting with TOPBP1, facilitating the loading of CDC45L onto replication origins, which is essential for the transition from the pre-replication complex (pre-RC) to the pre-initiation complex (pre-IC). TICRR also acts as a safeguard against premature mitotic entry by preventing it after exposure to ionizing radiation.
TICRR is also known as C15orf42, SLD3, Treslin.
