THSD1

Description

The THSD1 (thrombospondin type 1 domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.

Thrombospondin type-1 domain-containing protein 1 is a protein encoded by the THSD1 gene in humans. This protein contains a type 1 thrombospondin domain, found in thrombospondin, proteins involved in the complement pathway, and extracellular matrix proteins. Alternative splicing results in distinct isoforms.

This protein positively regulates nascent focal adhesion assembly and modulates endothelial cell attachment to the extracellular matrix.

THSD1 is also known as ANIB12, LMPHM13, TMTSP, UNQ3010.
