THAP7

Description

The THAP7 (THAP domain containing 7) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 22.

THAP7, short for THAP domain-containing protein 7, is a protein encoded by the THAP7 gene in humans.

THAP7 is a chromatin-associated protein that binds to histone tails and represses gene transcription. It achieves this repression by recruiting HDAC3 (histone deacetylase 3) and nuclear hormone receptor corepressors.

THAP7 is also known as -.
