Description

The SV2C (synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2C) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

SV2C is a protein involved in regulating the release of neurotransmitters and hormones from cells. It enhances low-frequency communication between neurons and helps maintain the supply of vesicles ready to release their contents.

SV2C is also known as SLC22B3.
