SUDS3

Description

The SUDS3 (SDS3 homolog, SIN3A corepressor complex component) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

SUDS3, also known as SDS3, is an enzyme that is encoded by the SUDS3 gene in humans. It is a component of the Sin3 histone deacetylase corepressor complex.

SUDS3 is a regulatory protein that represses transcription and enhances the histone deacetylase activity of HDAC1. It may play a role in tumor suppressor pathways by regulating apoptosis. SUDS3 might be involved in the assembly and/or enzymatic activity of the mSin3A corepressor complex or in mediating interactions between this complex and other regulatory complexes.

SUDS3 is also known as SAP45, SDS3.
