The SSU72 (SSU72 homolog, RNA polymerase II CTD phosphatase) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

SSU72 is a protein phosphatase that dephosphorylates the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II. It plays a role in RNA processing and termination. It also plays a role in pre-mRNA polyadenylation through its interaction with SYMPK.

SSU72 is also known as HSPC182, PNAS-120.
