SRSF6

Description

The SRSF6 (serine and arginine rich splicing factor 6) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

SRSF6 is involved in both constitutive and alternative splicing processes. It influences the selection of alternative splice sites, including the alternative splicing of MAPT/Tau exon 10. SRSF6 binds to alternative exons of TNC pre-mRNA and enhances the expression of alternatively spliced TNC. Furthermore, SRSF6 contributes to wound healing and the regulation of keratinocyte differentiation and proliferation by modulating alternative splicing events.

SRSF6 is also known as B52, HEL-S-91, SFRS6, SRP55.
