SRRM2

Description

The SRRM2 (serine/arginine repetitive matrix 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

Serine/arginine repetitive matrix protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SRRM2 gene. SRRM2 has been shown to interact with Pinin.

SRRM2 is essential for pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the spliceosome. It is also involved in the splicing of U12-type introns in pre-mRNAs as a component of the minor spliceosome.

SRRM2 is also known as 300-KD, CWF21, Cwc21, HSPC075, MRD72, SRL300, SRm300.
