Description

The SRRD (SRR1 domain containing) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 22.

SRR1-like protein is involved in controlling the production of heme, a molecule essential for red blood cells and other functions, and also influences the activity of genes that regulate the body's natural sleep-wake cycle.

SRRD is also known as HC/HCC, SRR1L.
