SP8
Description
The SP8 (Sp8 transcription factor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.
SP8 is a gene that encodes a transcription factor. It is also known as Specificity protein 8. SP8 is involved in limb development, specifically in the regulation of FGF8 expression in the apical ectodermal ridge (AER), which leads to limb outgrowth in embryos.
SP8 is also known as BTD.
