SLK

Description

The SLK (STE20 like kinase) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

SLK or SLK can refer to various things, including the human gene SLK, which encodes a serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in cell death and cytoskeletal organization.

SLK mediates apoptosis, a process of programmed cell death, and also contributes to the breakdown of actin stress fibers, which are structures that help maintain cell shape and movement.

SLK is also known as LOSK, STK2, bA16H23.1, se20-9.
