SKIL

Description

The SKIL (SKI like proto-oncogene) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

SKIL (Ski-like protein) is a human protein encoded by the SKIL gene. SKIL interacts with SKI protein, Mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 3, and Mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 2. SKIL belongs to the Ski/Sno/Dac family, which also includes SKI protein, Dachshund, and SKIDA1. Members of this family share a domain of approximately 100 amino acids.

SKIL may play a regulatory role in cell division or differentiation in response to external signals.

SKIL is also known as SNO, SnoA, SnoI, SnoN.
