SHISA5


Description

The SHISA5 (shisa family member 5) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

SHISA5 can trigger programmed cell death (apoptosis) through a process that involves caspase enzymes. It also contributes to apoptosis that is regulated by the p53 tumor suppressor gene.

SHISA5 is also known as SCOTIN.
