SH3D21

Description

The SH3D21 (SH3 domain containing 21) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

SH3D21 is a nuclear protein encoded by the SH3D21 gene located on chromosome 1. It's a 756 amino acid protein with three SH3 domains, suggesting involvement in protein-protein interactions. Though its exact function is unknown, SH3D21 expression is low in most tissues but elevated in the superior cervical, dorsal root, and trigeminal ganglia. Its expression is also upregulated by testosterone and is decreased in TP63 knockout mice.

SH3D21 is also known as C1orf113.
