SEZ6L2

Description

The SEZ6L2 (seizure related 6 homolog like 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

SEZ6L2 is thought to play a role in the specialized functions of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) within neurons. The ER is a vital organelle in cells, responsible for protein folding, lipid synthesis, and calcium storage. SEZ6L2's specific contribution to ER function in neurons is still being investigated, but it likely contributes to processes important for neuronal health and signaling.

SEZ6L2 is also known as BSRPA, PSK-1.
