SERTAD1

Description

The SERTAD1 (SERTA domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

SERTAD1 is a protein encoded by the SERTAD1 gene in humans. It has been shown to interact with CREB-binding protein, Cyclin-dependent kinase 4, and P16.

SERTAD1 acts as a coregulator at E2F-responsive promoters, integrating signals from PHD- and/or bromodomain-containing transcription factors. It stimulates the transcriptional activity of E2F1/TFDP1 and makes the activity of cyclin D1/CDK4 resistant to inhibition by CDKN2A/p16INK4A.

SERTAD1 is also known as SEI1, TRIP-Br1, TRIPBR1.
