SERPINA9

Description

The SERPINA9 (serpin family A member 9) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

Serpin A9, also known as Centerin or GCET1, is a protein encoded by the SERPINA9 gene on chromosome 14q32.1. It belongs to the serpin family of serine protease inhibitors. Its expression is limited to germinal center B cells and lymphoid malignancies, suggesting a role in the germinal center as an effective inhibitor of trypsin-like proteases.

SERPINA9 is also known as GCET1, SERPINA11, SERPINA11b.
