SCARNA22

Description

The SCARNA22 (small Cajal body-specific RNA 22) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 4.

SCARNA22 is a small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA) that is involved in the processing and modification of ribosomal RNA (rRNA). It is predicted to guide the methylation of rRNA at position 2505, which is located in the 28S rRNA. SCARNA22 is expressed in a variety of tissues, including the brain, heart, and liver.
