SAPCD2

Description

The SAPCD2 (suppressor APC domain containing 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

SAPCD2 is involved in regulating cell proliferation and tumor cell growth, as well as playing a role in the planar mitotic spindle orientation in retinal progenitor cells. It is known to negatively regulate the localization of GPSM2 at the apical cortex during mitosis. SAPCD2 is also implicated in promoting symmetric terminal divisions in RPCs.

SAPCD2 is also known as C9orf140, p42.3.
