RUFY1

Description

The RUFY1 (RUN and FYVE domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

RUN and FYVE domain-containing protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RUFY1 gene. It is named after the RUN and FYVE domains it contains.

RUFY1 binds to phospholipid vesicles containing phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate, playing a role in the movement of materials within the early endosomes.

RUFY1 is also known as RABIP4, ZFYVE12.
