RSU1

Description

The RSU1 (Ras suppressor protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

The RSU1 gene encodes Ras suppressor protein 1, a protein implicated in the Ras signaling pathway, growth inhibition, and nerve growth factor-induced differentiation in human and mouse cell studies. Its ability to inhibit v-Ras transformation was initially observed in mouse cells. Multiple variations of the RSU1 gene have been identified, including one specific to glioma tumors. Additionally, RSU-1 acts as a structural component within integrin-mediated focal adhesion complexes.

RSU1 is also known as RSP-1.
