RPF2

Description

The RPF2 (ribosome production factor 2 homolog) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

RPF2 plays a crucial role in the assembly of the large ribosomal subunit, which is essential for protein synthesis. Additionally, it may regulate the movement of the 5S RNP (ribonucleoprotein particle) to the nucleolus, a specialized region within the nucleus where ribosomes are assembled.

RPF2 is also known as BXDC1, bA397G5.4.
