RGN
Description
The RGN (regucalcin) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.
RGN or Rgn can refer to various things.
Regucalcin (RC), also known as Gluconolactonase, exhibits low activity towards sugar lactones like gulonolactone and galactonolactone. It can also hydrolyze diisopropyl phosphorofluoridate and phenylacetate in vitro. This protein binds calcium, modulating Ca(2+) signaling and Ca(2+)-dependent cellular processes and enzyme activities.
RGN is also known as GNL, HEL-S-41, RC, SMP30.
